The museum itself is dedicated to living artists whose work reflects the historical notion that art is communication between the painting on the wall and the one who looks at it. It’s existence as art depends on the spectator’s willingness to engage with the spirit of the painting.
The museum is anchored by the collection of paintings by Windsor Joe Innis. Those painting not on exhibit will be stored and rotated as needed.
The museum plans to host annual exhibitions, each featuring an emerging foreign artist whose work Windsor finds consistent with the museum’s stated mission (above) and who would likely benefit from a small showing at the museum and time with Windsor at his studio during his stay in the country.
